The short version

Static Menagerie does not use advertising, accounts, behavioral analytics, or browser cookies. The sites are static and do not ask visitors to submit personal information through web forms.

Information recorded by the servers

Like most web servers, ours creates access logs when a page or asset is requested. A log entry can include the visitor’s IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, HTTP status, user agent, referrer, response size, and request duration.

We use these records to operate the sites, diagnose failures, understand unusual traffic, and investigate abuse or security incidents. Routine access logs are retained for no more than 30 days. Records relevant to an active security or abuse investigation may be retained for as long as that investigation requires.

Infrastructure providers that help operate the server, network, domain names, or backups may process limited technical information on our behalf. We do not sell visitor information or use it to build advertising profiles.
